Diputación de Zamora
Diputación de Zamora (Zamora County Council) functions as the administrative body serving the 247 municipalities of the Zamora province in northwestern Spain, sharing a border with Portugal. The council represents and oversees the interests of all integrated municipalities, ensuring the comprehensive provision of public services throughout the province.
With a workforce of 420 people distributed across various departments, the council addresses the diverse needs of Zamora's inhabitants. These areas include Agriculture, Livestock, and Forestry; Municipal Assistance; Urbanism and Infrastructure; Culture, Education, and Sports; Economic Development, Entrepreneurship, and European Funds; Youth and New Technologies; Environment and Sustainability; Social Policy; and Tourism. Additionally, Diputación de Zamora manages the finances, either wholly or partially, of several autonomous organisms and entities. This financial oversight underscores the council's commitment to supporting development, promoting sustainability, and enhancing the quality of life for the province's residents.

Role within RURACTIVE
Zamora County Council, as an integral component of Dynamo 3, together with project partner Technology Centre Cartif, assumes a pivotal role in coordinating and executing innovative, intelligent, and community-driven solutions tailored to the unique context of the region. The challenges, encompassing Services & Infrastructure, Poverty & Exclusion, Ageing, Depopulation, and Unemployment, necessitate the institution to adopt a comprehensive approach. Working in close collaboration with other technical partners, Diputación de Zamora shoulders responsibilities spanning from policy formulation to practical implementation, ensuring the efficacy and responsiveness of the solutions to the distinctive needs of the community.
In contributing to the sustainable development and resilience of the rural area, Diputación de Zamora endeavours to address vulnerable and target groups, including young people, the elderly, people with disabilities, women, and local community groups and producers.
